We are Happy to Announce....

If you guessed that we are expecting again then you are right. We are so happy to be having baby #7 to our family of pink and kaiden. I am 15 weeks and have yet to visit the doctor. I will be making an appointment soon. Kaiden is really counting on a brother to counter the estrogen in this house. We will soon see. Flynt says I might as well wait until I am 16 weeks and then we could find out what the baby is. Flynt is pretty confident that we are having twin boys. Wow that would be alot of fun and super hard for the first year or two then just enjoyable. Well there you have it. It has been well over a year since my last post. So this is it until next update. LUVZ :)

Trip to Cali and Disneyland.

People in California were so nice to us. We usually get looks of pure disdain and disgust, when we take our huge family anywhere. Really we do but everyone in California would say the kindest things. It was very empowering. We went to Anaheim for Flynt business meetings for a little over a week. So me and 6 kids on a hotel room sound like a blast right? We really had fun. Every morning we would get up eat a lovely hotel breakfast. Which my kids thought was awesome. Then we would head back to our room get dressed to swim and wait for Karlee to take a nap (in the stroller). We would then trek it down to the pool and spend depending in the day 3-4 hours of swimming. My kids are part fish like their dad. Don't get me wrong I like the water but I wasn't born with gills like they are. I have to force them out of the pool to got get lunch usually this was around 1 or 2 pm. We would get ready for the day and either watch the Disney channel ( we don't have cable so this is a REAL treat to my kids) or we would go on adventure walks (finding many snails and slug) we found a mall one of the days and went to the movie. Bought some T-Shirts for Disneyland. Flynt would come "home" and then we would head to the beach. Because of the gills in my family, this was their favorite part of our trip they found many creature friends and loved the waves. m0re to come.... I need to put kids to bed.

WE HAVE MOVED!!!!

In true SJ brower fashion we have to try out several houses before we are happy. We moved to a beautiful new home in SJ but with more room. It is on 1 acre of land. I am loving it! Now that the boxes have "mostly" cleared. I have been able to sit and enjoy its beauty. We plan on getting a sprinkler system in as well as grass by the end of this month. Our other house...aka the old house is still ours and we are getting it ready to sale. Any one looking to buy a house? I will post pic of both eventually! haha hey just be happy i posted.

KARLEE MAY SMITH 9/8/09

This is Karlee just moments after she enter into our Family of PINK!!! She is a sweet little girl weighing in at 7lbs 9oz, 20inches long!! We are in LOVE with this tiny addition.

8 Days and Counting!!!

I am really excited for the 8th of September. I have a Doc apt on Friday the 4th and am hoping to have a time that we will induce on the 8th. I was hoping to have this little bundle of cuteness on my moms birthday which is the 9th ( what an awesome birthdate 9/9/09) but my Doc has 3 c-sections on that day and the hospital won't schedule my induction as well so we are going for the 8th. I am excited to get this sweet baby out and start healing from my injury. Wish me luck!! HAHA...that always kills me.

I am feeling frustrated!!!

I am 34 weeks pregnant and cracked my pelvis.

One word that describes that is PAINFUL!!
I am grateful that my baby girl wasn't hurt in the process.
But, I walk slower than my almost 90 year old grandmother.
This is how all this came about:
Lets back up several months earlier. Lets say around January...
I went snow skiing with my family and was having a great time trying to get my skiing technique down...meaning I was going way slow...well a snowboarder came out of now where and plowed into the back of me hitting me with the snowboard right in the rear. Which caused me alot of pain and several visits with the Chiropractor. Well I thought that was annoying but it gets worse. Lets fast forward from that experience to about 2 weeks ago. I went to Big Lake to visit Flynt's Aunt and Uncle and cousins that were there from Tucson. We had a lot of fun roasting marshmellows and cathcing up. Well as it became late it was hard to see and I stumbled over a bunch of rocks and so I was trying to avoid falling on the baby bell which I was sucessful at...but in the process I did a fantasic pregnant lady splits. Well of course my first reaction and response was to quickly look around to see who might have seen my elagent fall and was rather proud that I was all alone in this fall. Well the next day I was rather sore from doing the splits and thought I might have hurt myself more than I thought. I was right. As time has gone on the pain has increased so I made a visit with the OB nurse practioner and she felt that I had cracked my pelvic bone and that there is nothing I can do about it because I am pregnant and can't get an xray. So we are going off of my symptoms. I feel embarassed of my peed pants walk and waddle that I want everyone to know as well as inform everyone of my incident so that no one thinks I am just a big pregnant women that has a very STRANGE waddle. This to shall pass...but until then OUCH, Ouch, ouch, OUCH!!!

Its a Baby

We are having another baby girl. I think most everyone knows this, but for those of you who didn't....well now you do!!! HAHA

OUR GROWING FAMILY

WELL IT IS ABOUT TIME I ANNOUNCE THE NEWS!! WE ARE EXPECT #6 BABY SMITH IN SEPTEMBER. WE ARE EXCITED AND ARE HOPING TO COMPLETE OUR FAMILY WITH ONE MORE BOY! IF THIS LITTLE MUNCHKIN IS A GIRL ALL I CAN SAY IS THE MORE THE MARRIER! 5 GIRLS AND 1 BOY WOW THAT WILL BE A LOT OF EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS I WILL GET TO HEAR ABOUT. IF IT IS A BOY THEN 4 GIRLS AND 2 BOYS WILL BE GREAT AS WELL! KAIDEN TOLD ME LAST NIGHT THAT "IF THIS BABY IS A GIRL HE IS GOING TO CRY, AND FALL TO THE GROUND. MOM I HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOREVER FOR A BROTHER. ALL I WANT FOR MY BIRTHDAY IS A BROTHER...OH AND A PAINTBALL GAME!" HE IS SO CUTE. I HOPE MAINLY FOR KAIDEN AND FLYNT THAT THIS LITTLE ONE IS A BOY. I AM JUST HOPEING FOR 10 TOES AND 10 FINGERS, AND GOOD HEALTH FOR MY NEW ADDITION. I AM 12 WEEKS AND 4 DAYS. MY FIRST APPOINTMENT WONT BE UNTIL APRIL 1ST!

The 10 Month Countdown Begins!!

10 months and counting!!! I can't wait until my Birthday....hahaha. I am kidding! Hmmmm well maybe not! :) I do love Birthdays...I really don't care how old I am getting I just LOVE LOVE LOVE being the "Birthday GIRL!" LOL!

It has been a while...We are here!!

So it has been way past time for me to make another post. We have had a very difficult month and I haven't quit figured out how to share my month with you all. Every time I start to write about all the has happened here in our tiny town I end up erasing it. I guess I still don't know how to express it all.
So I will just leave it at that. I will share the fact that when flynt and I went to go to Tim's (He was the other guy that was ed next door to us) funeral we got to Flynts parents house at around 11:30pm and we were unloading the van when I hoped off the porch to get more stuff out of the van and I fell and heard the loudest POP! Then of course followed with large amounts of pain. OOOO that hurt!! I iced my foot and went to bed. We had planned on going to that funeral and ended up spending that Saturday hanging out at the E.R. in Safford. The Doctor there said that he thinks I tore the tendons in my ankle. It was sooooo huge and ugly at this point. So my sweet brother Ryan made a tobacco pulses (sp?) for my ankle when I got back home and wow that really helped with the swelling.
I just recently went back to the Doctor because my ankle still really hurts. So he ordered another xray. He also thinks it is my tendons and said that is sometimes take longer for the tendons to heal then it take a break to heal. So I need to be patient.
My most recent disaster happened last night. We were decorating our Christmas tree, and I am rather short so I got on a chair (I know not a smart plan when you have a bad ankle) to put some ornament up high. Well after I put them up I naturally wanted to admire them from a far. So i started to get off the chair and lost my balance and fell again. Nice! So of course I really hurt myself and cried while the kids were all so scared cause mom was crying. Luckily Flynt had caught part of my fall as I was going down so my ankle made it out ok. The reason I was crying wasn't the injured ankle it was because as I was falling my chair got a hold of my bottom. Yes this maybe to much for the weak stomached. The top of the chair went right up my rear end. Ewwwww that was so painful. Flynt says that is hurt so bad because square things aren't supposed to go up there. So not only do I hobble when I walk I now , walk like a stick is up my rear (oh wait a stick was up my rear), so now I cant sit without extreme pain. It almost reminds how my bottom feels after giving birth to a big 8lb 11 oz baby (that is Brooke). Flynt says that I am quit the sight to see. So after all the commotion I went to see the damage and this experience tore a hole in my under garments. Haahhaa. So I will end there with this long post.

Kayme vs. The Scissors

Kayme keeps loosing the battle to the scissors. I am time and time again finding locks of hair and kid scissors in various places. I feel that if this happens 1 more time the ultimate will happen the buzzers will come out and claim victory to Kayme!! She is looking more and more like a boy each and every personal trim. I try and think that maybe this new interest will mean free hair styles for me in the future. But until then AHHHHHH! Scarey Hair here we come. The Smith family wants to do family pics at Thanksgiving and I beleive Kayme maybe bald at that time. I love Kayme...She has so much spunk and independance for all 5 of my kids wrapped up in on tiny body!! She is hilarious!! This reminds me of her fingernail polish on Rachel's head days. Gotta Love her. HAHAHA

Halloween Day Stress and FUN!

I am in a Tri-Swap that Kristen (Flygare) Hansen started up! And this is what I got!! I was Boo-ed by Jaime (Szoke) Hulsey. And I have to add that she hand made the super cute pumkins! I love them. Thank you Jaime, you are an amazing lady!

So Brooke decided to be a blue butterfly and so this was her Halloween Mask! She loved it and felt very beautiful!

Ok so this Halloween was a little different! My older brother Ryan moved into town that very same day to find his rental house extremely dirty (cobwebs, grease stains, mold, need I say more)!! Eileen (sister-in-law) didn't want to move her things into this house. So they were and still are currently homeless. They are trying to find a different place to stay. So all afternoon Ryan and Eileen went on a search for a place to live so that left me with 9 kids to get dressed for Halloween. I also had my mom and dad coming and my sister-in-law Marisa coming for Trick or Treat. Well needless to say I was feeling overwhelmed a bit with getting all the kids ready and cooking a feast for such a large group. My dinner wasn't looking like it was going to be fininshed in time for all the company. I was panicing. So I feel so bad that when Marisa called to see if she could still come, I told her it was a bad day and that I wasn't sure how much fun our night was going to turn out. So I asked her not to come. I do feel so bad (SORRY MARISA!! I LOVE YOU DEARLY, I hope you aren't upset w/ me)...I just couldn't take on any more. I was tired and stressed (P.S. no lunch so I was also famished). So about dinner luckly my parents called and saved the day the were in Show Low and would pick up KFC for every one (THANK YOU MOM AND DAD, tender mercies). That really took a load off for me...I was then able to turn my full attention over to the 9 anxious trick or treaters. So I painted Jeremy (ryans youngest boy age 3) in a half mask like spiderman, Brooke as a butterfly, Rylee (ryans 2nd oldest) as a ghost, Kamry (ryans oldest) as a witch. I found a Hannah Motana Wig and put on a White Trash bag and went as "WHITE TRASH" (it got too sweaty so I took it off)!! I am so Politically Correct!! Kaiden was a ninja but was nowhere to be found for our picture (he was already out getting candy from the neighbors) Kayme was a Hershey Kiss and her cousin Kamry taught her to blow kisses to the people after they gave her candy at the door. So CUTE!!
Holly wanted to be a punk rocker and got herself completely ready! Thank you Holly for being so independant and creative. And little Rachel was a witch. She hated the hat!! Oh I almost forgot Preston (ryans 3rd child) was a skeleton. We had a very stressful day. But were able to get a bit of candy for the kids. I thought it was cool the fire dept came through my neighbor hood with lights flashing they would stop and the get out and give all the kids on the street candy. The kids that was pretty awesome, with the light and sirens blaring. I don't know a kid that doesnt like that.

Families are Forever

So I love this picture frame of me and all my siblings back in the year 1981. Rachelle is 7, Me 4, Kami 2, Ryan 10, Randy 9, Travis 5, Darren 2/3 (?). Any way whenever I look at me and my family I always wonder what we all thought we'd be doing when we grew up. I remeber wanting to be a dog groomer only because rachelle wanted to be one. haha We had a lot of good times together. I remeber helping Rachelle and her friends dress up darren like a girl and showing him to everyone all up and down our street in South Jordan. I remeber Travis's endless torment...we later became and have become very close. I remeber Kami...she was a great playmate. We had a club named Kamber we thought we were very creative. I loved playing dog catcher in the bassement in Utah and later in St Johns playing KC. We have been very blessed to be so close as siblings. We have been blessed with amazing parents who loved us enough to raise us in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I feel that in these hard times that knowing that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and will take care me pulls me through on a high note. I don't feel afraid (maybe concern) of this wolrd. We live in a wonderful time. I love my family and am so grateful for all of them each one has left a lasting impression on me. I am who I am because of them.

Getting Ready For Halloween

I love Halloween! It is fun to dress up and be someone else for a night. My kids are trying to figure out what they want to be this halloween. I am nervous because my face painting skills are rusty! So I am practicing for the real deal!!!

Brooke wants to be a Butterfly Princess this year so we are trying out different looks!
Holly just wanted a pumpkin (did I spell that right?) on her cheeck! Oh by the way her forehead is burnt my me, in the bathroom with a curiling iron (You know from game Clue)

Sunrise Ski Lift...We went Oct 11, 2008.

It was freezing cold at Sunrise. We all were excited to go for a ride on the lifts. I have never been in the fall and couldn't believe how beautiful it was. Wow. Well we went to Sunrise to get our kiddos free lift tickets for this season of snow skiing. :) We went with Camden and Marisa and their munchkins. We had a good time but froze. It is too early to be this cold. The kids loved riding up the Mountain on the lift.


Now that is gorgeous! The fall colrs the lake in the back ground. Bearthe taking. I didn't realize how much I would enjoy this ride up the mountain. This is a pic of Kayme, Brooke (tip of her head) and I on the lift headed up the mountain.Just gorgeous. Can't wait to hit the hills once it snows!!

Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam (Brooke)!!

Hey this was just to cute not to share with you all.

We were driving in the car and this was a cute conversation I had with Brooke (4yrs old)
Mom: "What church do you go to Brooke??"
Brooke: "Hmmm...we go to our church. "
Mom: "I know but what is the name of our church?"
Brooke: "We go to the Church of Jesus Christ AMEN!" (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints)
I laughed she is so funny.

Then I said to her Brooke are we Christian?
Then she laughed and said "No mom I am Brooke, Christian is the boy that lives next door"!!
So of course I let her know that we are Christians.
And that I know that our Savior loves us and that we are all children of God.
I also let her know that he knows each of his children here on earth and that he made us all different.
I love being a mom, so fun.
